Russian Federation Senator Grigory Karasin told Russia 24 TV that the Western powers will "sooner or later" force Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to sit down at the negotiating table.
Karasin noted that skepticism among Western allies is growing with regard to supporting Ukraine, adding that even though the United States continues to provide the latter with aid, certain politicians are starting to consider cutting it.
Furthermore, the Russian senator referred to Zelensky's visit to Washington as a "tragicomedy" and underlined that the sole purpose was to "receive new billions."
