The prices of oil futures continued to advance on Friday, with WTI rising over 2.5%.
A drawback in the United States commercial crude oil inventories, coupled with rising tensions in the Middle East, seemingly triggered supply worries, pushing crude prices up.
WTI for deliveries in February surged 2.67% at 11:33 am ET and went for $74.15 per barrel. At the same time, Brent for settlements in March jumped 1.92% to sell for $79.07 per barrel.
