Oil prices rise as Germany agrees Russian oil ban

Prices of crude oil futures turned to gains on Thursday after a report stated that Germany agreed to revoke its objections to sanctions on Russian oil.

The recent news possibly raised concerns over the supplies of the crude. European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson previously stated that the sixth package of sanctions against Russia will come "very soon."

West Texas Intermediate for deliveries in June increased 1.56% at 10:58 am ET, selling for $103.56 per barrel, while Brent for settlements in the same month rose 1.17%, to go for $106.58 per barrel a minute later.
