Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted on Monday during a joint conference with the leaders of the G7 the need for Ukraine and Europe, together with the United States to be present at the negotiation table with Russia.
Zelensky further mentioned that Ukraine and the US are collaborating "productively" on an economic agreement, with plans to finalize it in Washington soon.
In contrast, earlier remarks from US President Donald Trump suggested that Zelensky's involvement was "not important" for the peace negotiations with Russia.
