White House Office of Legislative Affairs Director Louisa Terrell, one of United States President Joe Biden's top longtime aides, will be leaving her post this month, CNN reported citing a statement.
"As a US Senator for 36 years, I developed a deep respect and reverence for the United States Congress and its vital institutional role in our democracy. When I was elected President, I knew that no one understood that better, or would be a better partner to my decades-long friends and former colleagues, than Louisa Terrell," Biden said in the statement given to CNN.
Both Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, in written statements to CNN, praised Terrell's "dedication and strategic partnership."
