OpenAI revealed on Wednesday that its paying business customers have reached 3 million, showing growth from the 2 million reported earlier in February.

The artificial intelligence company, headquartered in San Francisco, gained widespread recognition in late 2022 with ChatGPT, its AI chatbot for consumers, before launching specialized workplace versions in the following year.

The 3 million subscriber base encompasses users of ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Team, and ChatGPT Edu, OpenAI stated. The platform served 400 million weekly active users as of February.
