OpenAI rolls out Operator in Brazil, Japan, UK

OpenAI Inc. unveiled its latest AI agent, Operator, to pro users worldwide on Friday.

The tool, designed to independently navigate and interact with the internet to complete tasks, is now available in countries including Brazil, Australia, Japan, India, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. "Still working on making Operator available in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein & Iceland—we'll keep you updated!," the company noted in the statement.

The company rolled out Operator in January 2025, designed to autonomously perform web-based tasks on behalf of users, including booking restaurant reservations, purchasing tickets, and managing shopping lists.
