Over 1,000 employees allegedly resign from USDA

Over 1,000 employees have supposedly resigned from two United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) divisions through a current administration program aimed at downsizing the federal government, NBC News reported, citing an internal USDA email it obtained.

The department is among the federal agencies that have encouraged employees to quit via a "deferred resignation" program that offered several months of paid leave.
