American clothing company PVH Corp. stated on Wednesday it temporarily closed most of its Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger stores in China because of the coronavirus outbreak.

"Our priority is the well-being of our associates and business partners, their families and local communities, and our hearts are with those that have been impacted by the coronavirus," commented the company's CEO Emanuel Chirico.

PVH confirmed that its earnings per share in the last quarter of 2019 will hit $1.79, adding that the virus had an impact on the expectations, as around 7% of the company's revenue comes from the Asia-Pacific region.
