The Pakistani government decided on Thursday to suspend all trade with India following an escalation in tensions between the two countries after 26 people were killed in Pahalgam, a tourist spot in the disputed Kashmir region on Tuesday. Pakistan also closed its airspace to Indian airlines and canceled visas for Indian nationals.

The measures come in response to India's decision to close its main border crossing with Pakistan and suspend the bilateral Indus Water Treaty. It also expelled Pakistani diplomats and ordered all Pakistani citizens to leave the country by April 29.
