Palestine urges Trump to stop Israeli plans in Gaza

The Palestinian Authority (PA) appealed on Friday to United States President Donald Trump to intervene and stop Israel's plans to seize control of Gaza City and "fulfill his promise to stop the war and move towards lasting peace," according to the Palestine News Agency.

The plan will likely expand Israel's military operations and force many Palestinian civilians to leave the city. "This is a complete crime that represents a continuation of the policy of genocide, systematic killing, starvation and siege, and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and international legitimacy resolutions," the PA said. It added that it will request urgent contact with international organizations, including the United Nations Security Council and the Arab League.
