Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa (pictured) signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Development Program and the Arab International Organization for Reconstruction in Palestine (Palimar) in the aftermath of the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip. The first part of the agreement will commit $80 million to assess the damage in Gaza, clear rubble and explosive devices from vital areas, as well as provide temporary shelter and basic services, the Palestine News Agency reported.
"The Palestinian Government has put in place a six-month program to address the situation on the ground, along with a three-year plan to move from relief to economic revitalization and early recovery, all the way to full-scale reconstruction over the next ten years, as part of a program coordinated with the World Bank, the European Union, and the United Nations," Mustafa said.
