P&G: Q4 EPS up 7% to $1.21

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) revealed on Friday that its diluted net earnings per common share came in at $1.21 in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2022 after rising by 7% from the same period a year ago.

Net sales were 3% higher on an annualized basis to $19.5 billion, while operating income increased by 2% to $3.6 billion. Fourth trimester 2022 net earnings were $3.06 billion, 5% up from the corresponding timeframe in 2021.

Comparing full-year results, net sales grew 5% from 2021 to $80.2 billion in 2022, operating income decreased by 1% to $17.8 billion, net earnings rose by 3% to $14.8 billion and diluted net earnings per common share were 6% up to $5.81.

Company shares declined 4.04% in premarket trade in light of the earnings data.
