Paramount Global finally accepted the merger agreement with Skydance Media, The Wall Street Journal reported citing sources with knowledge of the matter.
According to the sources, a special committee of Paramount Global directors gave the green light, with shareholder Shari Redstone, who was controlling the company through National Amusements, giving her blessing earlier on Tuesday.
As per the deal, Skydance is expected to buy National Amusements for $1.75 billion, with sources stating that the agreement could be announced as early as a few hours from now.
