Pelosi undergoes hip surgery in Europe after accident

Former United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has undergone successful hip replacement surgery after sustaining an injury during her official visit to Luxembourg, her office confirmed on Saturday.

"Speaker Pelosi is grateful to U.S. military staff at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at Landstuhl Army Base and medical staff at Hospital Kirchberg in Luxembourg for their excellent care and kindness," spokesperson Ian Krager stated.

The Landstuhl Regional Medical Center is located in Germany.
