Outgoing Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto awarded US presidential Senior Advisor Jared Kushner fo his role in the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), NBC reported on Friday.
During a ceremony in Argentina, on the sidelines of the G20 summit, Pena Nieto thanked Kushner, who is also President Donald Trump's son-in-law, "for [his] significant contributions in achieving the renegotiation of the new agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada."
Trump, Pena Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau officially signed the USMCA deal on Friday which will replace NAFTA.
