Toyota global sales down by 3.6% in January

Toyota Motor Corporation announced on Monday the global sales of all of its brands saw an annual decline of 3.6% in January to come in at 795,847.

The sales of the Toyota brand alone decreased by 5.6% compared to the same month in 2022 to land at 709,870. Sales inside Japan rose by 17.8% to 186,998 for all brands, while globally, they went down by 8.7% to 608,849.

The worldwide production of all of the company's brand vehicles advanced by 8.4% year-on-year to 819,727. The one of the Toyota brand alone advanced by 8.8% to 689,090. Exports of the corporation's units dropped by 19.2% to 91,256. Earlier this month, Toyota said it is planning to produce 900,000 vehicles in March.
