Former United States Vice President Mike Pence emphasized on Wednesday that during the events that unfolded on Capitol Hill on January 6, ex-President Donald Trump forced him to make a choice between himself and the US Constitution.
Addressing his announced presidential bid in a CNN town hall, Pence underscored that voting for him would mean voting for upholding the rule of law, saying: "I chose the constitution and I always will." He added that Trump made a mistake during the Capitol insurrection, saying that the former leader "was wrong then" and that "he's wrong now."
