Mexican Sergio Perez won Formula 1's Monaco Grand Prix after heavy rainfall wreaked havoc on the track, leading to a several-hour long delay.
Instead of the 77-lap, the race was called at the end of the three-hour limit. Third place went to Perez's Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen, while Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc took second and fourth place, respectively.
"It's a dream come true. As a driver, you dream of winning here. After your home race, there is no more special weekend to win. We made it a bit harder for ourselves at the end... keeping Carlos behind wasn't easy. It's a massive day for myself and for my country," said Perez after his win.
