Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with RT on Thursday that the talk about killing Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is "unacceptable."

Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to talk about the matter as he spoke to journalists earlier this week, signalling that Russia sees even discussions on that matter as "completely unacceptable" and taking "such actions" even more so.

Multiple Israeli government officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, have hinted or directly called for the assassination of Khamenei amid the conflict between the two countries. Meanwhile, United States President Donald Trump said he didn't plan to kill the Iranian supreme leader "at least for now."
