Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov told the press on Tuesday that Russia is continuing its military campaign because there has been no advancement regarding Ukraine's willingness to engage in discussions.
"We remain open to negotiations. But since there is no progress in terms of Ukraine's readiness for negotiations, we are continuing our operation," Peskov added.
According to a report by The Washington Post yesterday, which cited an American official, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has started contemplating entering into peace negotiations with Russia after the re-election of United States President-elect Donald Trump.
