Pinterest co-founder and CEO Ben Silbermann will step down from the role of chief executive at the company.
"The decision is driven by what I think is best for Pinterest," Silbermann told the Wall Street Journal.
The company appointed former Alphabet commerce president Bill Ready as its next CEO. Ready, who earlier served as an operating chief at PayPal and CEO of Venmo, also joined Pinterest's board of directors. "Bill’s actually going to be a better CEO than I am for this next chapter," Silbermann added.
