Platinum plunges over 3% as precious metals fall

Precious metals fell on Monday as stock markets look set for another day of losses. The United States indexes traded sharply lower premarket, while the European markets started the session in the red.

Platinum plummeted 3.32% at 4:42 am ET, selling for $945.74 per ounce, while palladium declined by 2.17% to go for $1,893.60 per ounce. Gold was down 0.93% at 4:43 am ET, going for $1,854.26 per ounce, as silver dropped 2.13% at the same time to sell for $21.45 per ounce.
