Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski (pictured left) remarked on Friday that his country is ready to take a "non-standard" action and defy Germany's decision in case it refuses to allow its allies to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
"I think that if there is strong resistance, even if someone is offended by it, we will be ready to take even such non-standard action [...] but let's not anticipate the facts," he told radio RMF FM.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Berlin decided not to send German-made Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine unless the United States did the same with its own artillery. Then, it was said that the government is after all considering sending tanks to the conflict-hit country. Later, the US approved a new aid package for Ukraine that contains armored fighting vehicles.
