The Polish military Operational Command announced on Sunday that domestic and allied aircraft have been activated in the Polish airspace due to a "massive attack" by Russia in Western Ukraine, close to the border with Poland.
The Polish military said it scrambled on-duty fighter jets and placed air defense and radar reconnaissance systems in the highest state of readiness. It added that it is monitoring the situation and remains "in full readiness for an immediate response."
