United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated on Monday in Poland that, while her talks with Polish leaders were good, she failed to convince them to back the European Union's plans to implement a global minimum corporate tax.
Yellen told reporters that the two countries' representatives had very good and frank discussions in all meetings and that they will "continue to work on all of the issues."
The Treasury announced last week that during her visit to Poland Yellen will be trying to work with her counterparts to, amongst other goals, advance global tax policy as a part of a foreign policy for the middle class.
