Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar announced in a press release on Tuesday that Jean-Francois Mady will be its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective October 21.

"I'm very excited to join Polestar, with its unique focus on design, electric performance and sustainability and look forward to supporting the Company's exciting next phase," Mady stated. Previously, Mady was senior vice president of Global Accounting Operations and Finance Transformation at Stellantis Group, with 25 years of experience in the auto industry. He will replace the current CFO Per Ansgar, who will return to his role as CFO of Geely Sweden Holding AB after ensuring a smooth transition.

This announcement marks another executive change for Polestar after Michael Lohscheller was appointed as the new chief executive officer (CEO) last week, replacing Thomas Ingenlath. The incoming CEO welcomed Mady as the new CFO, praising him for his vast experience and competence in the field.
