Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz (pictured) reaffirmed Warsaw's support for Ukraine on Wednesday but emphasized that no Polish troops would be deployed to the country.
The defense minister told RMF FM radio that the government is reinforcing its eastern borders with Belarus and Russia's Kaliningrad exclave under the East Shield initiative, with over 6,000 soldiers deployed for border security.
"We have our units deployed in other places on the eastern flank, for example in Latvia, Romania. We have a great responsibility there," the defense minister added.
