Former United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo (pictured) said that Chinese President Xi Jinping wants "political dominance in every corner of the world", Sky News reported on Thursday.

"He wants hegemonic intent across the world with his Marxist-Leninist vision, and Chinese economic and political dominance in every corner of the world," Pompeo said on Beth Rigby Interviews, going on to add, "he wants to own you."

Pompeo was also asked about his opinion on Russian President Vladimir Putin affirming he had "a very capable nuclear program" but that "Xi Jinping is a different creature" and that "the globe is dependent on him economically, he has 1.4 billion people."
