Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa, upon arriving in Kiev on Saturday, took to Twitter to express his support for Ukraine which had been the target of Russia's military operation for almost three months now.
The prime minister said his Ukrainian counterpart invited and that he "will never forget" his tour of the city of Irpin. "The levels of destruction and violence are completely devastating," said Costa, calling the apparent evidence of Russian attacks on the city "vicious, indiscriminate and unjustified."
"It is with emotion and respect that I come here, as a sign of solidarity with this Country and these People, in the face of the barbaric Russian aggression," Costa said.
