Szijjarto: Hungary against Russian energy sanctions

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday that Hungary will not support further sanctions on Russian energy imports. Hungary depends heavily on Russian fossil fuels, with Szijjarto saying in October that his government will increase natural gas purchases from Russia.

Szijjarto also said Hungary will oppose any training missions by European Union forces inside Ukraine. Last month, he accused the EU of "obstructing" peace talks between the United States and Russia on peace in Ukraine.
