Powell: More 50 bps rate hikes are on the table

United States Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell stated on Wednesday that additional 0.5% interest rate hikes will be "on the table during the following "couple of [Fed] meetings."

Addressing the press during a conference, Powell provided no further details for the timeline of future rate increases.

"We will make our decisions meeting by meeting as we learn from incoming data and evolving outlook for the economy," he concluded.
