"No one knows whether there's going to be a recession or not, and if so, how bad that recession would be," United States Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell pointed out on Wednesday.
The path to a soft landing has narrowed as the Fed has not seen inflation decrease, Powell said at a press conference, adding that the central bank expected goods inflation to come down by now.
A soft landing is nevertheless "possible," the central bank chief underlined.
