Prabowo Subianto sworn in as Indonesia's president

Prabowo Subianto became the new president of Indonesia after he took the oath of office in a ceremony in Jakarta.

Before becoming president, Prabowo served as the defense minister in the administration of his predecessor Joko Widodo.

Prabowo won the presidential election held in February, obtaining more than 96 million votes.
