United States President-elect Donald Trump announced two key appointments for ambassador roles.

Somers Farkas, who previously served on Trump's Commission on White House Fellowships, has been selected as the next US ambassador to Malta. Trump described her as a successful model, philanthropist and businesswoman.

Trump also named John Arrigo, a prominent entrepreneur, as the next US ambassador to Portugal. Trump described him as a dedicated professional, noting he is confident Arrigo will prioritize America's interests in his new role.
