A pro-Trump super PAC, MAGA Inc., will spend $800,000 to defeat Representative Thomas Massie, Axios reported, citing a source familiar with the ad buy.
The TV ads will accuse Massie, a Kentucky Republican, of siding with Democrats. These ads will run from Tuesday through July 28 on broadcast and satellite TV in Louisville and Cincinnati, as well as online.
The campaign comes as President Donald Trump's team seeks a challenger to Massie, who opposed Trump's recent tax bill, with Senator Aaron Reed, a Navy SEAL veteran, as a possible contender.
