NATO chief: Attack on Kiev hospital shows Russia's aggression

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Tuesday the deadly attack on the children's hospital in Kiev demonstrates the brutality of Russia's "war aggression" against Ukraine.

The leaders of NATO's member states are expected to make crucial decisions on Ukraine during the alliance's 75th anniversary three-day summit in Washington, Stoltenberg noted, stressing that recent events have demonstrated the need to "step up" its support to Ukraine. The NATO chief also said the alliance inked a $700 million contract to have member states produce more Stinger missiles.

Russian missile attacks across Ukraine, which included a strike that partially destroyed the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, are said to have killed at least 37 people, the Ukrainian authorities noted.
