Students leading a mass protest in Belgrade, Serbia reminded participants to keep the rally peaceful and introduced a blue flare as a signal in case of violence.
They emphasized their commitment to nonviolence, stating that if blue smoke appears, it means an incident has occurred. In such a case, student marshals will remove their yellow vests and leave the protest.
Unofficial estimates suggested that hundreds of thousands of people from across Serbia had joined the demonstration, making it one of the largest protests in the country's history. By 7:00 pm CET, no major incidents had been reported. However, President Aleksandar Vucic previously claimed that he expected the opposition to incite major violence during the rally.
