Russian President Vladimir Putin told Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Friday that he is "ready to discuss the nuances" of his country's military operation in Ukraine, which severely contributed to the tensions between Moscow and the European Union, with him.

Speaking as Orban arrived at the Kremlin, Putin said he will present the Hungarian prime minister with ideas on how Russia and Ukraine could achieve a peaceful solution to the conflict. He also stressed that he understands that the presidency of the European Union Council is rotating and that Hungary will not hold it forever.

As they greeted, Orban described the meeting with Putin as "special." He also expressed his willingness to learn Putin's opinion on important subjects concerning Europe.
