Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed removing the threat of mines in the Black and Azov Seas to enable safe navigation.
The Russian leader told Erdogan that Moscow is ready "to facilitate the unhindered maritime transit of goods" and "the export of grain from Ukrainian ports" in coordination with Ankara, according to the Kremlin's press release.
"Short-sighted financial and economic policies of Western states" led to global food issues, but "Russia can export significant volumes of fertilizers and agricultural products if the relevant anti-Russian sanctions restrictions are lifted," Putin repeated.
