Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that the complete defeat of Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region will help Russian troops advance in other key areas of the front.

Speaking during a meeting with Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, Putin claimed that the losses inflicted on Ukraine, especially among elite units equipped with Western gear, would impact the entire combat.

"The complete defeat of the enemy in the Kursk border area creates conditions for further successful actions of our troops in other important sections of the front, brings the defeat of the neo-Nazi regime closer," Putin also declared.
