Russian President Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to Darya Dugina's family on Monday after she was killed in a car explosion outside Moscow yesterday. Dugina was a journalist and the daughter of Putin's close ally, philosopher and ideologist Alexander Dugin.
"A vile, cruel crime that cut short the life of Darya Dugina, a bright, talented person with a real Russian heart - kind, loving, sympathetic, and open," the Russian president said.
Earlier today, the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) stated that the murder was organized by Ukrainian special services. Ukrainian citizen Natalia Vovk is said to be responsible for the killing after which she escaped to Estonia.
