Russian President Vladimir Putin (pictured left) allegedly told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (pictured right) that Moscow is willing to end the Ukraine war as soon as possible, Indian TV reported Friday, citing a translator. Both representatives are today in a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the SCO summit.
According to the report, Putin would have reportedly stated that he is willing to do so, but the Ukrainian leadership has asserted that it refuses to engage in negotiations. In addition, Modi reaffirmed "that the current era is not an era of war."
During the talks with Putin, Modi also took the opportunity to call for finding a solution to issues with food, fuel, and security. Lastly, Putin invited Modi to visit Moscow.
