Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to hold a telephone conversation on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, along with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Putin's Foreign Policy Assistant Yuri Ushakov said.
This will be the first instance of communication between the Russian and Israeli leaders since the escalation of the Israel-Hamas conflict began on October 7.
Previously, Putin expressed concern about the "drastic increase" in the number of civilians killed due to the fighting between Hamas and Israel.
