Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out on Friday that United States-made F-16 fighter jets will "burn" like other military equipment given to Ukraine by its western allies, warning that such aircraft could be targeted even if they were located in air bases outside Ukraine and used against Russia.

Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), he also noted that Germany-produced Leopard tanks are being destroyed as well in the counteroffensive Kiev is currently carrying out.

NATO is definitely getting involved in the conflict, especially considering heavy military vehicle deliveries to Ukraine, the Russian leader underlined.
