Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Moscow could use its intermediate-range ballistic missile Oreshnik again in the war against Ukraine if necessary. However, he stressed that Russia "is not in a hurry" to do so.

Speaking at a press conference, Putin emphasized that "it is not a secret" that Russia does not have many Oreshnik missile systems. "We have them, and more than one system, but we are in no hurry to use them because these weapons are powerful, they are designed to solve specific problems," he noted.

Furthermore, the Russian head of state ensured that Moscow will keep achieving its goals in the "special military operation" next year.
