Putin: Russia ready to continue talks on Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin (pictured) announced on Tuesday his country's readiness to continue peace negotiations on the Ukrainian matter.

He further emphasized that the parties would have resolved the conflict long ago "If Ukraine were now commanded by people who would be guided by national interests, and not by the interests of their masters in Europe or overseas."

Additionally, he cautioned Western nations about the potential repercussions of their "interference" in the conflict, stating that it could result in serious consequences. "Western countries should understand what they are playing with," he added.
