"Victory will be ours," Russian President Vladimir Putin exclaimed at the celebratory concert at the Red Square in Moscow on Friday after the president signed accession of the four Ukrainian territories to the Federation earlier today.
During the speech, the Russian president underlined that modern Ukraine was created by Russia "passing on its territories," stressing that Moscow's decision today gave the people of Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia "the right of choice."
"We have become stronger. Because we are together, the truth is behind us, and there is strength in truth, which means victory," Putin said. "Russia does not only open the doors of our home to our brothers and sisters, it opens its heart to them. Welcome home," concluded the Russian president.
