Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed during a meeting of the State Council on Friday that Duma members told him that "a war had been declared on the Russian world," according to RIA Novosti.
"That is how it is," Putin added. Earlier today, the authorities of the Kursk region said at least six people were killed, with an additional ten injured in a Ukrainian missile strike on the city of Rylsk. It remains unclear if Putin's comments are related to the recent event.
Putin previously threatened to again use the novel Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile on targets in Ukraine in response to Kiev's strikes on Russian territory with long-range weapons supplied by Western countries.
