Qatar: Arab nations also plan Gaza repair with Palestinians

Arab nations, including Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, are also advancing plans for Gaza's reconstruction while ensuring the Palestinian population remains in the territory, according to Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari on Wednesday.

Speaking on Fox News, he highlighted this stance following a US President Donald Trump idea of Washington taking over Gaza and moving its population away. Ansari emphasized that Qatar, with its long-standing mediation experience, remains committed to diplomatic efforts in the region. He stressed international cooperation is needed as “there is a lot of trauma on the Palestinian side when it comes to displacement,” and that it is too early to discuss this amid the ceasefire.

"No one player around the world can do it alone, this has to be an international effort led by countries like the United States in order to have a sustainable peace in the region," he noted.
